Samsung announced its much-anticipated foldable phone + tablet today at their Unpacked event in San Francisco, called the Galaxy Fold.
Samsung Galaxy Fold Specs
The Galaxy Fold features a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display on the inside, a 4.6-inch display when folded, 2 batteries totaling 4,380mAh, one on either side of the fold, and 6 cameras in total.
The device has a QXGA+ (4.2:3) resolution when used as a tablet, and an HD+ (12:9) resolution display when folded up and used as a phone.

There are a total of 6 cameras on the Galaxy Fold: 3 on the back, 1 on the front, and 2 inside.
The 3 on the back are a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 16-megapixel ultrawide camera. On the front, you have a 10-megapixel selfie camera, while inside you have another 10-megapixel selfie camera and an 8-megapixel depth camera.
Performance wise, the Galaxy Fold does not have a MicroSD slot but does come with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Samsung says there will be both a 4G/LTE and a 5G version of the device.
The Galaxy Fold uses Samsung's new screen technology, the Infinity Flex Display, to allow the phone to be folded and unfolded hundreds of thousands of times without degrading the quality of the screen. It accomplishes this by using a hidden hinge system that Samsung says will open and close effortlessly.
The device will come in four colors at launch: Cosmos Black, Space Silver, Martian Green, and Astro Blue.
All these features certainly don't come cheap, as the device, called a "luxury device" by Denison, will be available in the United States on April 26th for an astounding $1,980 and will be available in Europe on May 3rd for about 2,000 euros.
